Bremerton Ice Center and Bremerton Figure Skating Club encourage you to participate in our Stay Home, Stay Healthy and Stay Connected "Run It In Your Tennies" Competition.
The Run It In Your Tennies Competition, is designed to give you a chance to run your program(s) and/or or compete with your spins and bring you some motivation to take back to our rinks when they open, We want to also provide another way to connect our community of skaters during this time! Event Date: Saturday May 30th Application Deadline: Wednesday May 27th by 11:59pm Skaters of all levels (Snowplow Sam-Senior, and adults) are encouraged to participate. Event Format: The event will be hosted through Zoom. Internet access is needed. You can register to skate your short, freeskate and/or showcase program. There is also a spin event. If you have a spinner of any kind at home, you can enter the spin event, with a spin of your choice. There is no charge to enter, and you can perform in as many of the events, as you like. Please see link below on how to install and use Zoom. Skaters will be given a block of time (PST), and events will be divided by skating level and age. All performances will be done off ice (parking lot, front or back yard, driveway, etc). Skaters are encouraged to dress in their skating costume and can do the jumps and spins as best they can, but there will be no technical mark given. The programs will be judged using component mark classifications, including Performance, Composition and Interpretation. Music: You will need a separate device on which to play your music, and it will need to be placed close to the speakers on your device. It is advised that you check your device placement and your video prior to your Zoom appointment for sound quality. Awards: Participant placements will be posted on the Bremerton FSC website and Facebook page, following the event and all participants will receive recognition for their participation. Competition Schedule: A competition schedule will be provided by 11:59pm Thursday May 28th. You will receive a Zoom Link for your block of time to perform via email by 10:00am Friday May 29th. This will include the Zoom Meeting ID and Password. *All participants are choosing to participate in the event and do so at their own risk. Bremerton FSC and Bremerton Ice Center will not be held responsible for any incidents, injuries or accidents that take part during your performance or event time.
